Wise County, Virginia
Named after Henry A. Wise, the governor of Virginia at the time, Wise County was formed out of land from Lee, Scott, and Russell County. As the Wise County website says, "The Safest Place on Earth." The phrase refers the data backup centers located in Wise County. Wise offers extremely low electricity rates and considers itself one of the best places to backup all data for government, business, or other corporations. Surrounded by it's mountain location, the county sits outside "blast zone" and is within a days drive of government mission critical locations. It also houses a large, modern airport which is essential to tourism and commercial use.
